Join the EA DC animal welfare group for a discussion of wild animal welfare issues and ideas
The EA DC Animal Welfare Cause area group will meet on Monday, May 8th at 6 pm at Beefsteak in Foggy Bottom in celebration of DC Veg Restaurant week.
We will be discussing wild animal welfare, including questions like:
- Should animal activists focus more or less on wild animals?
- What interventions are most promising?
- How does farmed animal welfare interact with, overlap with, or trade off against wild animal welfare?
No particular reading is necessary, but some food for thought for the discussion might be found at the website for the Wild Animal Initiative, this recent EA forum post, or the Wikipedia page for wild animal suffering.
