Complete the 2023 Annual Survey Today

As we look forward to the rest of 2024, we at Effective Altruism DC are collecting feedback on the past year to help us understand what we are doing well and where we can improve. Taking the survey and providing honest feedback is one of the most impactful things our members can do to improve our strategy and decision-making for the coming year.

We expect the survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

Thank you in advance for helping us better serve you!

Highlighted Opportunities

  • Forethought Foundation: Research and Executive Assistant

    • This role involves research tasks such as writing, copyediting, conducting literature reviews, research projects as well as administrative tasks like processing emails, scheduling, and travel booking. There’s some flexibility in the role, and if you’re interested, we encourage you to apply!

    • Apply by February 11

  • GiveWell:

    • Head of People Operations: GiveWell needs a senior leader to build solid systems for recruiting, comp, HR, etc. This role will have a lot of autonomy + long-term influence over GiveWell’s staff and culture, so it’s really important that they find someone who’s excited about GiveWell’s work and has enough drive/experience to make things happen without a ton of oversight.

    • Head of Communications: This person will manage all of their communications, from donor outreach to press management. They need to be excited about GiveWell’s work, vibe with their focus on transparency and rigor, and have enough technical chops to translate their research into accessible communication. Also important to find someone who’s just a very good writer and editor, bonus points if they have experience in public/media relations.

  • Legal Priorities Project: Summer Research Fellowship in Law & AI 2024

    • Apply by February 16

    • You will take the lead on a research project, with supervision from a member of the LPP team, and mentorship and support from other LPP researchers.

    • Duration: Fellows can choose a period of 8–12 weeks starting as early as June and ending as late as October 2024.

  • NobleReach Foundation: Scholars Program

    • Apply by February 18

    • NobleReach Scholars embark on a one- or two-year journey. They step into fully compensated roles within government or mission-driven, private-sector organizations that are at the forefront of tackling complex challenges.
